A man in a stolen pickup truck led California Highway Patrol and LAPD officers across Los Angeles County in a high-speed chase, driving the wrong way at times.
A California Highway Patrol officers performed a PIT maneuver to stop a man accused of stealing a vehicle who drove the wrong way at times when trying to flee police.
Los Angeles police and CHP officers began pursuing a suspect who allegedly stole a pickup truck, and the high-speed chase stretched across Los Angeles County, KTTV-TV reports. News helicopter footage shows the suspect weaving in and out of traffic, sometimes speeding the wrong way down streets.
Finally, a CHP officer performed a PIT maneuver to stop the truck, sending it spinning on to a road median. The suspect fled the truck on foot, but officers were able to apprehend him.
