Metor 6S Walk-Through Metal Detector

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. launched its Metor 6S Walk-through Metal Detector. The metal detector is able to detect small ferrous and non-ferrous items, such as disposable prison razors and razor blade pieces, metal shanks, handcuff keys, detonator caps, jewelry, coins, and microprocessor and memory chips. Applications of the Metor 6S range from inmate and visitor screening in corrections environments to access control in mints and electronics, jewelry and associated manufacturing plants.

Compliant with National Institute of Justice Standard 0601.02, the Metor 6S increases safety in prisons and jails by efficiently detecting small metal objects that can be used as weapons or for weapon construction, even when hidden in body cavities.
