ASP has also introduced a unique new Transport Kit, designed specifically to interface with its Rigid Ultra Cuffs, converting them to a belly chain system. The Transport Kit comprises a belly chain with a special fitting at the end that slides through the slot in the middle of the hand cuffs. Once around the subject, the chain is slid onto the end of the fitting, then secured with the included one-step, positive action lock. Locking is fast and foolproof, as a key does not need to be inserted or turned to engage the lock, only to remove it.
In keeping with ASP’s focus on officer safety, the system can be attached, adjusted and removed without ever having to remove the cuffs.
ASP is taking agency and distributor inquiries and pre-orders for expected shipping beginning later this summer.
