Officer Down: Detention Deputy Mark Edward Anderson

MINNESOTA-Detention Deputy Mark Anderson, of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, died April 15, 2021. The deputy was interacting with a combative inmate at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. Deputy Anderson called for back up and the deputies escorted the inmate back to his cell.

While he was preparing for another shift, Deputy Anderson collapsed in a locker room. 

Deputy Anderson served with the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office for eleven years. He is survived by his daughter, brother, significant other and son.
