TEXAS-Deputy Sheriff Stephen Jones, of the Concho County Sheriff's Office, died May 10, 2021. Deputy Jones was shot and killed while responding to a call regarding a dog. An altercation ensued when Deputy Jones and another deputy, made contact with the subject at their home. The suspect shot and killed both deputies and wounded a city employee. He then barricaded himself inside. The mayor talked him out of the house and the man has been charged with two counts of murder.
