The City of Countryside Municipal Complex is welcoming and inviting to the community and meets the future needs of the city staff and community, allowing for growth while integrating renewable energy and current technologies that are ecologically sensitive. The building also creates a better workflow as the employees carry out their day-to-day activities. The new building is a healthy and functional environment to add to the work experience of the employees. The city hall portion of the building serves the Mayor and City Council, City Administrator, City Clerk, Finance & Community Development offices. There is an exhibit area for display purposes within the lobby dedicated to the history of Countryside and RT. 66. The facility also has the capability to have an emergency operation center in the future in the lower level.
On the police side of the building, it has safe and efficient intake and housing of arrestees. The lock up is accessible from a sally port designed to accommodate at least two cars with a separate evidence/work zone bay. The secure lock up area has two interview rooms that can also be used as a physical line up area. Other spaces within the building are evidence processing and storage, men’s and women’s locker room, a records department along with a records storage area and Community Service Officer’s workspace adjacent to the lobby. The patrol division which includes roll call area, report writing area, supervisors’ desks, and a Master Sergeant office. The administration offices include office space for the Chief and Deputy Chief with equal access to the Administrative Assistant office which includes ample file space and a conference room. The detective division is large enough to accommodate desks and a soft interview room.
