Carbyne and RapidSOS Look to Enhance PSAP Tech to Improve Caller Location Data
NEW YORK, NY, March 12th, 2019 – Carbyne, a global leader in public safety technology, today announced that it is partnering with RapidSOS. The strategic partnership will enable a seamless flow of critical, real-time data from callers to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to help first responders more accurately locate and treat victims – decreasing response times, improving response efficiency and ultimately saving more lives.
Due to outdated public safety and emergency response infrastructure, pinpoint location accuracy is one of the greatest challenges for 9-1-1 dispatchers. By integrating data from the RapidSOS Clearinghouse into Carbyne’s state-of-the-art technology, call takers will be provided with accurate location information and secured rich emergency data regarding the caller — enabling PSAPs to pinpoint callers and provide maximum support.
“We are excited to add RapidSOS’ data into our public safety solutions. Carbyne’s approach to Next Generation 911 has always been based on gathering as much info about a caller as possible, as quickly as possible, and using technology, analytics and AI to transform that data into useful, actionable information to present to call takers and dispatchers. This approach has been very successful, with our clients seeing 65% reductions in average 911 call time without having to upgrade other systems or equipment. With RapidSOS now enriching our data even more, we expect to see even greater reductions. Our solutions present the best location possible for every call, and by adding in data from the RapidSOS Clearinghouse as another option, we feel that our location capabilities and caller information will be second to none” said Amir Elichai, CEO & Founder of Carbyne.
RapidSOS works with public safety partners to deliver life-saving emergency data from hundreds of millions of connected devices to 9-1-1 and first responders. During an emergency, RapidSOS enables connected devices (wearables, smart home devices, smartphone, connected cars, etc.) to transmit rich data such as accurate location, medical and demographic data, car telematics data, and additional information directly into 9-1-1 systems nationwide.
“We are thrilled to partner with Carbyne to ensure that public safety agencies have access to the most important data they need to handle any emergency,” said Jeff Robertson, GM of Public Safety at RapidSOS. “This partnership gives 9-1-1 telecommunicators access to life-saving information to improve emergency response times, and the emergency response itself.”
