Futurecom Systems Group's Release 3 enhancements of the PDR8000 - Portable Digital Repeater include that it will now come standard with a local user interface, allowing local channel change operation. Designed for Federal or other public safety agencies whose duties extend beyond traditional fixed RF coverage areas, the PDR8000 provides local on-scene P25 coverage and an optional V.24 wireline connection allowing connectivity to Motorola Solutions Inc. dispatch consoles and voting systems.
The PDR8000 provides a local user interface for channel change functionality as well as providing a means to access and control several aspects of the PDR8000. Access to various functions is available utilizing a backlit LCD screen and an adjacent set of navigation buttons. The LCD screen allows for users to change channels in nighttime or daylight conditions, even when wearing polarized sunglasses. Additional features added in Release 3 of the PDR8000 include analog or mixed-mode operation and a new software option that allows the PDR8000 to choose among different deployment profiles in the field without the need for a PC.
The PDR8000 Portable Digital Repeater is sold exclusively through Motorola Solutions worldwide, a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers.
