KPMG LLP enhanced its File Preservation Program (FPP) with an encryption-handling capability that will help attorneys manage the risk of missing key e-mail messages during their document review. FPP is a targeted collection tool that KPMG utilizes to help clients identify potentially relevant documents in discovery. It is designed for single-session harvesting of information from multiple sources -- a workstation hard drive, e-mail server, thumb drives and other data hosts -- and can decrypt the messages during the collection process, potentially reducing both the time and cost of processing e-mails for content review.
