First to use the ‘GD' nomenclature, the GD6000 vehicle-rugged notebook, by General Dynamics Itronix, is available for field technicians, law enforcement personnel and others whose offices are in trucks, patrol cars, utility vans or other vehicles. Designed to work on the road, GD6000 notebooks combine high-performance computing with secure, wireless-network connectivity at a price that balances durability and affordability. The GD6000 meets the fully rugged MIL-STD 810F standards for temperature range, vibration resistance, dust ingress protection and humidity. It's 13.3-inch DynaVue touch screen display technology increases outdoot viewability while duals task lights and optional white keyboard assist working in low light conditions. Also featured are quick-launch buttons for emergency applications, a spill resistant keyboard and a shock mounted hard-drive and display. Features specifications include a high-performance Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor with a 120GB hard-drive and 4GB memory. The GD6000 also integrates GPS and wirless connectiv ity with Wi-Fi (WLAN), cellular data (WWAN) and Bluetooth.
