Motion Computing announced the availability of new LINCWorks RDA (Rugged Deploy Anywhere) accessories that provide efficient charging and expanded coverage. The new line of accessories includes a solar panel, a rugged telescoping stand, and multi directional antennas. Motion launched LINCWorks - a family of portable, rugged, easily deployed wireless connectivity devices – last December. The devices make it easy to instantly create a cohesive WAN/LAN, cell and/or mesh communications infrastructure – anytime, anywhere.
“With LINCWorks, our goal is to make network connectivity an attainable reality for anyone in an environment where secure connectivity isn’t reliable,” said David Mackie, Head of Wireless Networking Products at Motion. “In the five months since we launched LINCWorks, we have seen growing interest from a variety of organizations across mining, oil and gas, construction and special events. The newest LINCWorks accessories are designed to ease the charging of devices and expand the network coverage area.”
LINCWorks was designed specifically for work environments where connectivity is unreliable. Many of these work environments are in remote locations, like mining and oil and gas. In addition to poor connectivity, these environments also lack electricity to charge the devices. The new LINCWorks solar panels efficiently and easily charge devices using solar energy, helping ensure LINCWorks devices can continually perform. Just as the remote location of LINCWorks customers vary, so does the requested range of network coverage. The new rugged telescoping stand and multi directional antennas are now available to help expand the network coverage area.
