Genetec Showcases Latest Public Safety Innovations at IACP 2024
MONTRÉAL, September 30th, 2024 — At the upcoming IACP Conference (booth #1540), Genetec Inc., a leading provider of unified security, public safety, operations, and business intelligence solutions, will present its latest innovations tailored for public safety organizations. These solutions are designed to enhance situational awareness, streamline communication, centralize critical data, and enable law enforcement to respond to incidents and emergencies more quickly and efficiently.
Genetec will showcase Genetec Clearance™, the company’s digital evidence management system, designed to simplify the collection, management, and sharing of evidence. By reducing dependence on DVDs and shared drives, Clearance offers a secure method of sharing evidence with authorized personnel. The system supports the efficient management of audio, video, and other data files while reducing the burden of manual case management.
Genetec will also highlight AutoVu Cloudrunner™, a cloud-based vehicle-centric investigation system. This solution goes beyond traditional license plate recognition by analyzing and securely storing vehicle identification data, providing law enforcement with reliable detection capabilities day or night, in any weather. Data is collected via a solar-powered automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) camera, which is easy to install, configure, and maintain.
At IACP, Genetec will also introduce a new collaborative intelligence feature for AutoVu Cloudrunner. Teams can seamlessly share ALPR data between partnered organizations such as law enforcement, private businesses, and community groups. By creating a connected network, this feature enhances situational awareness and fosters a unified response to security challenges, ensuring efficient resolution no matter where an incident occurs.
In addition, the latest developments in Genetec Citigraf™ will be on display. Citigraf, the company’s situational awareness solution for real-time crime centers, integrates data from disparate sensing systems to provide a unified picture of ongoing situations. This consolidated view helps law enforcement and public safety agencies accelerate their response times, from detection to on-scene action, improving overall incident management and prevention.
IACP attendees will be able to explore Community Connect™, a community safety initiative offered by Genetec that improves urban safety through public and private collaboration. By using the latest technology advances to connect law enforcement, educational institutions, and local businesses through a unified platform, cities can address security concerns comprehensively and empower community members to participate in keeping their neighborhoods safe.
