DataCapture is able to capture 100 percent of network traffic at rates up to 300 MBytes/sec. DataCapture improves the performance of network, security and forensics applications, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), by regenerating packets to these applications based on protocol and at throttled speed. Current product versions are based on 1-3U hardware configurations capable of capturing 1-128 TBytes of data. The Devicelogics product presents the captured and stored data as libpcap files through a file system to end-user network, security and forensics applications. Additionally, these applications can access this data through a virtual Ethernet device. DataCapture also supports T1/T3 and other topologies that utilize packet-based encapsulation methods.
