Remote Channel Changing Software

Aug. 20, 2007

JPS has introduced a channel changing software, allowing users to remotely change radio channels over an internet protocol (IP) network. The new software is ideal for customers who need to operate their radios from a remote location and can be used with network-capable JPS devices including DSP-2 modules associated with an ACU-1000 and the NXU-2A. Using this software, an operator can change the channel or zone of a radio using a computer linked to the radio site via an IP network. The software simply presents the commands to the connected radio and the radio then executes the commands provided. Currently, this software is available for Kenwood X80, X150 and X180 series radios. The channel changing software will be sold as a package, including the software and the necessary cables required to interface from the customer's specific radio. The operations manual for the channel changing software can be found under the Support section of our website, under Manuals.
