SYWARE, Inc. extended its database development software, Visual CE and mEnable, to allow synchronization and direct access to a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet from any Windows Mobile handheld. Data in this commonly used desktop database format can now be easily read and modified on a handheld. Visual CE's drag-and-drop interface allows users to create powerful data collection and information access applications with the extensive functionality typically available only through expensive high-end programming. mEnable allows wireless access to data over any TCP/IP network, including the Internet. With a minimal amount of effort, data in a desktop Microsoft Excel spreadsheet is now fully available to handheld users.
