The Huntington (CA) Park Police Department has taken policing to a new level by swearing in a robot to assist with policing specific areas. The HP Robocop has been tasked with patrolling largely public places in Huntington such as parks and city buildings in the area. The HP Robocop has the ability to record 360 degree views with internal cameras of it’s surroundings. Having a robot on the force allows officers to patrol elsewhere and the Robocop has the ability to do surveillance in areas officers can’t always be and can also feed live footage back to the department.
