“This is an exciting milestone for us and we are proud that our technologies are helping to keep people across the U.S. safe,” said Tsuneo Imai, president, Virtual Imaging, Inc. “With the RadPRO SecurPASS System, organizations with high-security needs are able to effectively detect many dangerous metallic and non-metallic items. This solution helps to increase safety and save time, as it reduces the need for physical searches.”

The RadPRO SecurPASS System is able to detect contraband both inside, and on the body in high security environments, including jails, prisons, airports, border crossings and government buildings. This device uses a low-dose X-ray scanning system that can detect many types of dangerous or illegal substances, such as liquid explosives, drugs, copper wires and plastics. Based on unique patented technology, the System is able to image prosthetics to identify hidden narcotics, weapons and other dangerous contraband.

Smart Security Solutions, one of the premier security-focused dealers of Virtual Imaging, sold the 200th unit to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in Ventura, California. This sale represents the 30th installation of the RadPRO SecurPASS System that Smart Security Solutions has sold in more than two years.

The RadPRO SecurPASS System is now installed in 41 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. It is also deployed in 120 Federal Bureau of Prisons Facilities in the Receiving and Discharge Areas.
