BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA – Envisage Technologies received the FUSE Business Innovation “Company of the Year” award at the Tech the Halls ceremony held Monday, December 18, 2017. Ari Vidali and Michelle Cole, CEO and COO of Envisage Technologies, respectively, accepted the award on behalf of the company. The FUSE Awards, presented annually, highlight the accomplishments of Bloomington, Indiana’s growing technology and innovation community. FUSE Award finalists are determined through a public nomination process; winners are then chosen through a combination of nomination counts and a committee.

As part of the ceremony, FUSE made the following statement about Envisage and the reasons the company received the honor: “Since 2001, Envisage Technologies has been building solutions that make our nation’s first responders, and the communities they serve, safer. The company serves over 1.1 million first responders, and on the global stage were recently named one of the world’s top ten vendors of first responder software products.”

Envisage, founded in 2001, provides solutions that automate the complex training operations for first responders, law enforcement, and the military with a core mission to improve the readiness of our nation’s public safety professionals to ensure they come home alive. The company’s Acadis Readiness Suite training and compliance software platform is the training management system of record for agencies within the U. S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and many state law enforcement and public safety organizations.

Initially founded in 2004 by the Small Business Development Center, the FUSE Business Innovation Awards were rebooted in 2017 by the Dimension Mill. Slated to open in late 2018, the Dimension Mill will be a state-of-the-art co-working and business incubator space in downtown Bloomington designed to launch and accelerate companies, create high-paying jobs, and foster an inclusive, innovative entrepreneurial community. Other winners include Jane Martin (“Mentor of the Year”), Doug Dayhoff (Bill and Gayle Cook “Entrepreneur of the Year”) and the Bloomington-based billing automation company, Cheddar (“Rising Star of the Year”).
