The team is on the road again, and OSCR360 headed back to South Carolina last week. The team prepared for a busy week full of OSCR demos, with visits scheduled in Summerville, Florence County, Cayce, Greenwood, Hanahan and Orangeburg County.

First stop on the itinerary was to Summerville, South Carolina. Known as the Flower Town in the Pines, the community prides itself on Southern hospitality and is a charming place to live. The Summerville Police Department works to protect approximately 50,000 residents and consists of specialized units that range from K-9 to Honor Guard services. Summerville is less than an hour drive from the popular waterfront city of Charleston.

Next, the OSCR360 team made its way over to Florence County, where the Sheriff’s Office prides themselves on professionalism and public safety. This community is focused on constant improvement from education, to recycling efforts and beyond.

OSCR and Alex made their way over to the city of Cayce. The city’s motto is it’s “Time for Life.” With a mild climate, the area’s parks and culture are fitting for any season, which makes Cayce a great place to visit. The city’s Fire Department is dedicated to improving the lives of Cayce citizens. The organization is an integrated division within the community’s Department of Public Safety, which is dedicated to honor, pride, loyalty, and integrity.

Next the team stopped in a city that is appropriately named Greenwood. With tree-lined streets and plenty of green leaves, this city is overflowing with life and charm. In addition to its beautiful landscape, Greenwood is also a hub for arts and culture. The Police Department works to serve, protect, and care for the community by embodying excellence and focusing on continuous improvement.

Moving closer to the Atlantic, OSCR360 headed back to South Carolina’s coastline, stopping in Charleston County. Not only is the shore beautiful, but the community is full of life. There is so much to do in Charleston County, from fishing to sailing, and it’s hard to choose what to do first. The Sheriff’s Office is one of the largest agencies in the state.

The final destination on OSCR’s South Carolina trip included a stop in Orangeburg County. This area is rich in farmland and dedicated to the safety of its citizens. The Orangeburg County Fire Marshal is just one of the four divisions of the area’s Fire District that is responsible for providing protective and investigative services.

This is not the first time that OSCR and Alex have traveled to South Carolina. Several departments in the state are already using OSCR and have nothing but good things to say about the system and how it has helped their departments.

“The capabilities that OSCR provides for someone on the inside to give information to someone on the outside are amazing”

Corporal with the York County Sheriff’s Office, SC
