Twinsburg Police Officer Joshua Miktarian was fatally shot by Ashford Thompson on July 13, 2008.

A Cuyahoga County judge has sentenced the former Akron girlfriend of convicted killer Ashford Thompson to six months of house arrest for her role on the night of the slaying of Twinsburg police officer Joshua Miktarian.

Common Pleas Judge Daniel Gaul on Wednesday sentenced Danielle Roberson along with Thompson's sister, Bridget Robinson, 36, of Bedford Heights.

Robinson was put on probation.

Miktarian, a 33-year-old husband with an infant daughter, was shot four times in the head at close range July 13, 2008, in Thompson's driveway at 2454 Glenwood Drive in Twinsburg.

Thompson is on Ohio's death row for the murder. The shooting occurred two to three minutes after the officer stopped Thompson's car for loud music.

Roberson was with Thompson in the car. They fled to his sister's home in Bedford Heights, where he was arrested.

The charges against the women were brought in Cuyahoga County because their roles in assisting Thompson after the shooting occurred there. Prosecutors say Robinson attempted to help remove handcuffs from Thompson's wrist by using Vaseline and a metal comb.
