Apparently, Tamisha Morin’s ice cream truck was selling more than the “Ice Cream & Sweet Treats” written on the outside.
The 42-year-old was arrested Monday after Slidell, La., narcotics detectives found methamphetamine, along with melted ice cream and two puppies, inside the ice cream truck, according to a release from the Slidell Police Department.
Police had previously been tipped off that methamphetamine was being used and sold from the truck and when detectives spotted the truck on Old Spanish Trail Monday, with no license plate and no brake lights, they initiated a traffic stop and searched the truck.
In addition to the drugs, ice cream and puppies, drug paraphernalia was found inside.
Morin was booked into the Slidell City Jail, charged with possession of narcotics, multiple traffic violations and for an outstanding warrant. The truck was impounded and the puppies taken to Slidell Animal Control.
Police do not believe any children were exposed to methamphetamine.
