Mistral Security's aerosol delivery system for identifying and detecting illicit drugs has taken another step with the development of the Detect 4 Drugs (D4D) aerosol: a quick and effective presumptive field test technology that can detect up to four types of drugs with a single test. D4D can identify poly drug substances that have been discovered or confiscated, or trace amounts of poly drug residues on virtually any type of surface. D4D also offers the capability to verify the presence of drug residue when a canine unit "alerts" to the presence of a drug but no drug substance can be found; provides a cost-effective tool for monitoring correctional facilities for the presence of drugs; supplements urine testing for compliance monitoring mandated by drug courts of individuals on probation; and provides the critical basis for "reasonable suspicion" that allows officers to detain stopped vehicles longer when drugs are suspected (awaiting canine units), by finding drug residue on the exterior surface of the stopped vehicle.
