An 18-year-old was arrested Saturday night after Colorado Springs police say he took money and a cell phone from a man at gunpoint in south Colorado Springs.
According to police, the victim was walking from his car to his apartment and was robbed at gunpoint in a stairwell at the Western Terrace Apartment complex about 10 p.m..
The victim gave a description of the robber to police officers and they soon spotted 18-year-old Clarence Thompson at a nearby convenience store. Officers detained Thomspon, and the victim identified him as the robber. Thompson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
