March 17--A 34-year-old man was arrested after exchanging gunfire with an armed Chicago Housing Authority guard early Saturday morning in Humboldt Park, according to Chicago police.

The man was caught by the housing authority guards, who held him until Chicago police arrived and made the arrest, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The exchange happened about 2:15 a.m. but it's not clear why the pair were shooting at each other.

Nobody was injured and police recovered a weapon at the scene, Greer said. The man hasn't been charged yet.

A spokeswoman for the Chicago Housing Authority wasn't immediately available to comment Saturday morning.
