May 31--Two men were flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after they crashed their car during a chase with Connellsville police.
Connellsville police received a report about 5 p.m. that a man in a silver Chevrolet Camaro was driving recklessly in the 300 block of South Pittsburgh Street, the department said. Officers turned on their lights and sirens and the driver sped away.
At one point, the man slammed on his brakes, causing the police car to rear-end him, police said.
But the driver continued, heading onto Snyder Street before wrecking near where the road changes names to Springfield Pike.
Officials said the driver and his male passenger were flown to UPMC Presbyterian. Their names and conditions have not yet been released.
