A 37-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly assaulted a sheriff's deputy in the District Clerk's Office.
Sheriff's deputies assigned to the El Paso County Courthouse were called to the District Clerk's Office because Ryan Lumley was allegedly causing a disturbance as he refused to pay a paperwork fee.
As deputies tried to escort Lumley out of the office, he allegedly assaulted one of the deputies.

He has been booked into El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $6,000.
