Enough: With honor and respect to law enforcement officers who have given everything.

May 6, 2015

The names of more than 20,000 United States law enforcement officers are carved into the walls of The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. This year, 273 names will be added.

In 1962, President Kennedy designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

National Police Week draws thousands of survivors, family members and supporters annually to mourn those who lost their lives upholding the Thin Blue Line. As we remember those who have given everything — the utmost symbol of heroism, selflessness and honor — we commit ourselves to life and will do everything to protect those who defend it.

Enough.
