Flying Cross by Fechheimer's new "Fashion Fit" pants for women are being introduced in its public safety line of uniforms. "After listening to many suggestions from our customers, we put our designers to work to come up with a pant 'fit' for women in public safety," according to Fechheimer Senior Vice President Fred Heldman. "Our research found that women wanted uniform sizes that were consistent with the best brand women's clothing, true to size, sharp in appearance, but functional and comfortable to wear and work in," says Heldman, who indicated women have tried, tested, and given their 'thumbs up" with the end result, including law enforcement personnel modeling "Fashion Fit" at last fall's IACP Conference in Los Angeles. The pants are cut as would be found in the "best quality women's fashion brands" with plenty of extra room in the waist, hips and throughout. Uniformed women will no longer have to take a larger size than normal, or wear altered men's trousers as many have been reluctantly doing. It will also save women a lot of time and inconvenience with returns and exchanges trying to find the right size. All Fechheimer pants with Fashion Fit will feature a colorful tag that says, "The Uniform Fit for Women."
