Video: Atlanta Police Catch Man who Drilled into Car Tanks to Steal Gas

Atlanta police apprehended a man who allegedly was stealing gas by drilling holes in the tanks of several vehicles.

While on patrol Tuesday, officers noticed a silver SUV that had been caught on home security cameras in the same area as the unusual gas thefts, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. Body camera footage captured police taking Matthew Reznick, who's from Washington, into custody.

Reznick is accused of committing multiple vehicle break-ins, as well as drilling into car fuel tanks to drain them of gasoline. The drilling, however, caused hundreds and thousands of dollars in damage to the vehicles.

Reznick faces multiple charges, including of felony counts of entering auto and criminal trespass.
