A Tennessee police K-9 was found dead over the weekend after flooding from Hurricane Helene ravaged the area.
Scotty, a K-9 with the Erwin Police Department, went missing Friday from the Bumpass Cove area during flooding from the devastating storm, WVLT-TV reports. Crews searched for Scotty, but he was found dead.

“Please pray for his handler and all who loved him,” the department stated.
Erwin is the seat for Unicoi County, and the area has had dozens gone missing during the storm. Over 50 people were rescued from the roof of Unicoi County Hospital after flooding trapped them Friday.
