A 6-foot-long boa constrictor slithered onto a Livermore street Monday night after police responded to reports of the creature on the loose.
Multiple people reported the escaped snake to police, stating that residents were scared, Livermore police said in a Facebook post.
The snake belonged to a resident in the area, according to officers when they arrived on the scene. Police returned the boa to its owner Monday night.
No injuries were noted in an update shared by Livermore police on Twitter.
