Chicago Police Stop Burglary in Progress, Recover Nearly 40 TVs

Four men were arrested when Chicago police interrupted a burglary in progress at a South Side train yard as the suspected thieves were loading flat screen TVs onto a truck.

Officers responding to a burglary in progress overnight in a train yard on the South Side caught four thieves loading flat screen TVs onto a truck before they were arrested, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers caught four men loading proceeds from a train in the 6300 block of South Wentworth Avenue. The men attempted to flee the scene but were caught after short pursuit, and taken into custody, police said.

Thirty-nine flat screen televisions were recovered. and charges were pending.
