The Rapid-Z reticles allow for quick and easy range estimation as well as target holdover features in an uncomplicated, user-friendly format. Reticles will be available in the standard Rapid-Z 600, Rapid-Z 800 and Rapid-Z 1000 formats for common rifle calibers and Rapid-Z Varmint for varmint and smaller long-range target shooting styles. All Rapid-Z reticles feature the ability to perform quick range estimation through the use of a simple ranging bracket feature. The shooter will need to know the size of the target in relation to the brackets as well as have their scope set to the power that the reticle uses for range estimation and holdover point-of-aim. Once the target is bracketed, range estimation can be made and the shooter will be able to take aim on the target through the use of the holdover aiming points located on the vertical axis of the reticle. The holdover lines have yardage reference numbers indicating distances that can also be used for ranging. Yardage distances will vary depending on the format of the reticle whether the Rapid-Z 600 and Rapid-Z Varmint for use out to 600 yards or the Rapid-Z 800 and Rapid-Z 1000 for use out to 800 and 1000 yards respectively. In addition to holdover reference points, the reticles will have hold points for windage equating to 5 and 10 mph winds along the horizontal axis of the major yardage lines.
