Gould & Goodrich (G&G) announced that it has acquired Tactical Design Labs (TDL) of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Founded in 2003 by Mike Lowe, TDL has developed a reputation for cutting edge designs that incorporate the Science of Human Factors to meet the needs of law enforcement and military personnel, according to the company.
According to Scott Nelson, President of G&G, “The addition of TDL’s designs and intellectual property provides an opportunity to broaden and modernize our product scope while maintaining the core elements that customers have come to expect from G&G: Made in America, delivered on time at a fair price, and backed by G&G quality and customer service.”
Mike Lowe, Founder and President of Tactical Design Labs, added, “G&G understands the importance of providing products that positively impact the health and survivability of law enforcement and military personnel. We are pleased to be part of the G&G team. TDL’s F.A.S. Technology holsters and magazine pouches and ergonomic belt systems are a great fit with G&G’s distribution and customer base, and we look forward to continuing to serve the LE community together.”
G&G is expected to begin manufacturing TDL’s patented duty holsters and belt systems at its headquarters in North Carolina in the first quarter of 2016.
G&G was founded in 1985 via the acquisition of the Smith & Wesson Leather Company. With its later acquisition of Lawrence Leather, G&G extended its leather crafting roots to the year 1857.
