N.M. State Police Officer Shot During Stop; Suspect Still on the Loose

Authorities are searching for an armed and dangerous man accused of shooting a New Mexico State Police officer during a traffic stop in Farmington.

The New Mexico State Police are looking for a man who they say shot an officer during a traffic stop in Farmington on Monday.

State Police said on a social media post that the officer is OK. It is unknown what the officer's condition is.

Police said if people have information on Fernando Silva, who is considered "armed and dangerous," they should call 505-841-9256.
