A Greenwood, Arkansas police K-9 was missing Wednesday following a standoff with a suspect accused of fatally shooting a deputy and wounding a police chief.
Greenwood Police Chief Will Dawson said K-9 Kina was shot when officers responded to the shooting at a home on Highway 253, according to KFSM-TV.
Kina and her handler, Corporal Dennis Wisner, arrived on the scene as the gunman, Billy Jones, was firing at law enforcement.

Dawson told the news station that he believes Kina was shot inside of the police vehicle before ran away when Wisner popped the trunk.
Blood was found in Kina’s kennel and officers are currently searching for the dog.
