Recently released surveillance video from a Chandler, Arizona Walmart shows the moments a gunman ambushed two police officers last April.
Officers Joshua Pueblo and Daniel Colwell responded to a non-emergency call at the store near Arizona Avenue and Pecos Road on April 23 around 6:21 a.m. when bullets started flying, according to KNXV-TV.
The video shows how close the officers were to Mitchell Oakley, who opened fire on the officers in an ambush attack.
Colwell was knocked to the ground after being shot in his vest, but was able to return fire, killing the suspect. Pueblo was shot in the face, but was able to recover after spending time at a local hospital.
