Watch Flying Chair Crash into Windshield of Vt. Trooper's Cruiser

A Vermont State Police trooper had a close call driving along the interstate in South Burlington after an unsecured chair flew off a pickup truck and into the trooper's windshield.

Dashboard cam video from a Vermont state trooper’s patrol car caught the moment an unsecured chair flew from the bed of a pickup truck on sailed into the windshield of Trooper Dylan LaMere’s Ford Explorer.

The incident occurred around 12:35 p.m. Thursday on an interstate highway in South Burlington. No one was injured and Jamie Semprebon, 45, of Barre, the driver of the Chevy Silverado pickup, was ticketed for driving with unsecured cargo.

The trooper’s hood and roof were also damaged.

“Remember: Vehicle loads must be properly secured at all times!” Vermont State Police Traffic Safety said on social media.
