Video: SUV Sideswipes, Injures NYPD Motorcycle Officer

An NYPD sergeant suffered multiple injures and was taken to the hospital in stable condition after he was struck by a Lexus SUV along the Grand Central Parkway.
An NYPD sergeant suffered multiple injuries after he was sideswiped on his motorcycle by an SUV on Saturday.
The crash happened at about noon as the officer was traveling along the Grand Central Parkway with two other motorcycles when a Lexus SUV swerved into his lane, the New York Post reports. Video footage captured by a witness shows the sergeant as he was knocked to the ground when he was struck by the vehicle.
In the video, the officer can be seen standing and conscious following the crash. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition with injuries throughout his body.
The 51-year-old woman driving the SUV was issued a summons for an unsafe lane change. Police continue to investigate the incident.
