An Arkansas State Police patrol car collided with a North Little Rock police cruiser during a pursuit Monday night.

Arkansas State Police Cpl. Jeffery Plouch was pursing a teen, identified as 18-year-old Bretyia Ashae Jordan, who fled in a stolen Pontiac G6 around 10 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

During the pursuit Jordan ignored a red light at Main and East 13th streets, causing Plouch's cruiser to collide with one driven by North Little Rock Police Officer John Yates. Yates was not involved in the pursuit, but was returning to his patrol area after fueling up his car.

Both law enforcement officers were injured, though the extent of their injuries wasn't immediately clear.

Jordan was arrested and taken to UAMS Medical Center before being booked into the Pulaski County jail. She faces felony charges of theft of property, two counts of second-degree battery and fleeing in a vehicle as well as misdemeanor charges of reckless driving that causes physical injury, failing to stop at a red light and driving without a license.

The pursuit and crash remains under investigation.
