A San Antonio police officer is recovering after a trio of juveniles in a stolen car collided with his cruiser  Sunday.

The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. as police were investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle, KSAT-TV reports. Drones were deployed, and one unit began following the car to a hotel.

Police had learned that the vehicle was stolen, and an officer was dispatched to the hotel. As the officer pulled in, the vehicle—with three juveniles inside—slammed head on into his cruiser.

The officer was rushed to the hospital with injuries that aren't considered life-threatening. Police detained two of the three juveniles.
