Robbery Suspect Carjacks Calif. Police Cruiser, Crashes into Tree

While Glendale police were investigating a report of a robbery at an intersection, a suspect jumped into a cruiser and sped from the scene before crashing into a tree.

California police arrested a robbery suspect Tuesday after the man stole a cruiser and crashed into a tree.

The incident happened at around 9 p.m. when Glendale police responded to a robbery, KABC-TV reports. While investigating the incident, the suspect carjacked a police cruiser and sped off.

The suspect didn't get very, however. He crashed the cruiser into a tree and was taken into custody.

No officers were injured in the incident.
