    N.C. Police ID Person of Interest in Case of Shots Fired at Headquarters

    Albemarle police are investigating an incident involving an individual shooting at department headquarters over the weekend.

    A person shot at the Albemarle police headquarters on West South Street around 5:15 a.m. Sunday morning, a department press release said.

    No one was injured.

    Police in the city about 35 miles east of Charlotte said they have identified a “person of interest,” but did not announce an arrest.

    The department did not immediately respond to questions on Monday.
