VIRTUAL FORGE INNOVATIONS ON DISPLAY AT SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG ANNUAL CONFERENCE
HEIDELBERG, Germany (May 29, 2018) – Virtual Forge, the leading provider of cyber security solutions for SAP®, today made several announcements at the SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual Conference on June 5-7, 2018, in Orlando. Most notably, Virtual Forge announced its CodeProfiler for HANA is now able to scan the SAPUI5 programming language. Visit Virtual Forge at the conference in booth #1249.
Virtual Forge’s CodeProfiler for HANA provides developers with detailed feedback on the code quality of SAPUI5-based business applications, even as developers write the code – similar to the spell-checking functionality of a word processor. CodeProfiler for HANA is designed to pinpoint and eliminate critical deficiencies in security, compliance, and performance early in the process of creating HANA programs. The technology interfaces with the two development environments used for HANA: Eclipse and SAP’s home-grown Web IDE tool1. It supports the programming languages used in SAP HANA, including SQLScript, XSJS, and SAPUI5.
Other Announcements Made by Virtual Forge:
CodeProfiler for ABAP:
The Virtual Forge CodeProfiler for ABAP will continue the company’s installation footprint reduction approach in the next release. It will no longer be necessary to install an additional software component on the source systems; The ABAP code can still be scanned on a central system. Furthermore, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), which are new in ABAP for using executable scripts (SQL Scrip) directly on HANA databases, are now also covered.
SystemProfiler Updates
Virtual Forge has also unveiled updates to its SystemProfiler solution, which enables users to secure and monitor the security and quality of the entire SAP system landscape to ensure frictionless system operations. SystemProfiler continuously monitors SAP-systems for weaknesses in the areas of security, compliance and quality. This leads to minimized critical risks, significant cost reduction through more stable, and faster SAP systems as well as drastically reduced effort for monitoring and correction measures.
The updates to SystemProfiler help users accomplish a higher level of security in their overall SAP system landscape; more specifically, the update supports customers in installing security patches – a difficult tasks in most SAP systems – by identifying and highlighting patches which are actually relevant for the system in question. In addition, SystemProfiler aids users in better securing the so-called SAP Gateway – a notorious entry point for potential attacks.
“We are very excited to be a part of SAPPHIRE NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference, particularly as it is an annual celebration of SAP’s most exciting and innovative technologies,” said Dr. Markus Schumacher, CEO of Virtual Forge. “Our SAP security innovations have been a pillar of stability for our clients for many years, and we look forward to continuing this legacy of dedication by showcasing our advancements at this year’s show.”
