firmware for the ZebraNet Wireless Plus print server

Aug. 20, 2007
Zebra Technologies Corporation introduces firmware for the ZebraNet Wireless Plus print server (WPPS)-available as a free upgrade to existing ZebraNet WPPS users. This feature-rich version extends the wireless security and flexibility of the ZebraNet WPPS with encryption security, plus support for additional products. The enhanced ZebraNet WPPS broadens the previous version's flexibility by allowing businesses to utilize not only Zebra's rugged XiIIIPlus, 105SL and PAX4 print engines, but also Zebra's S4M stationary printers anywhere in the facility to quickly meet the need for high levels of networking security. This upgrade also takes protection of transmitted information to the next level with support for Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPATM) and 802.11b/g security standards. Another user benefit to this version is additional memory for the storage of fonts, formats and graphics, thanks to an included 64MB Flash memory feature available on all models except the S4M.
