Symantec's Peer to Peer (P2P) NAC capability adds a twist to computer security: It can restrict groups of endpoints deploying Symantec NAC software to talk only to other endpoints in their group and other endpoints that meet security policy requirements. The software does not restrict what servers endpoints can reach. It does, however, add an additional means to mitigate risk of infection by peer devices. This in turn can augment security of government networks.
