InterAct's PocketCop application is now available for qualified Android smartphones. PocketCop delivers real-time data to handheld devices, unleashing the power of situational awareness and total mobility to public safety. Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies across the United States currently use PocketCop to give their officers, agents, and investigators wireless mobile access to critical information, including FBI databases, state motor vehicle files and photos, and agency records, for making more informed decisions in the field.
PocketCop has helped refuge zone officers of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service protect federal lands and ensure public and officer safety.
With new touch-enabled icons and drop down menus, PocketCop 4.3 is optimized for the Android full touch screen user interface, improving the user experience. NCIC responses and other messages can be automatically presented on receipt, giving the officer critical information more quickly for informed tactical decisions. In addition, PocketCop can be easily integrated with InterAct CAD or other computer-aided dispatch systems, making it easy to access additional dispatch information, such as the number of units responding to an incident in progress, increasing officer safety.
In addition to the support for qualified Android smartphones, PocketCop is also available on BlackBerry and Windows Mobile handhelds. This expanded cross-platform support gives InterAct customers more choice and flexibility in device selection, now and in the future.
