Ohio Driver Jailed Following Police Pursuit

A South Toledo man was in the Lucas County jail Saturday in lieu of $75,000 bond after a 15-minute police pursuit.

A South Toledo man was in the Lucas County jail Saturday in lieu of $75,000 bond after a 15-minute police pursuit through North and West Toledo Friday night ended with his arrest in connection with five criminal and five traffic offenses.

Ronald Adams, 39, 1423 Darrow St., appeared Saturday in Toledo Municipal Court.

He was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday at Alexis Road and Lewis Avenue.

Charges included felonious assault, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, destruction of trees and shrubs, driving with a suspended license, failure to stop for a red light, not having two working headlights, and failure to display license plates and failure to have proper license plate illumination.

Judge Timothy Kuhlman continued the hearing until Monday.
