Pelican Products Is upgrading the rechargeable batteries in its flashlights to Nickel Metal Hydride. The recyclable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries will double Pelican's rechargeable light run time, and are a renewable power source that does not suffer from the energy-depleting, memory effect that other rechargeable technologies do. Beginning with the 2460 StealthLite Recoil LED and 3660 Little Ed Recoil LED Rechargeable, the whole Pelican rechargeable light line (Both LED and incandescent) will be engineered to feature the new batteries and charger bases. The new lights will combine the Nickel Metal Hydride's battery efficiency with the incredible brightness of Pelican's Recoil LED Technology. Acting like handheld lighthouses, the Recoil lights shine a 1-watt LED backward at a parabolic mirror to capture 100 percent of the total light to blast a brilliant collimated beam.
