The Verifact DV from Louroe Electronics is designed for vandal prone areas. The vandal resistant faceplate has a louver for microphone protection. Model DV is an omni-directional, low impedance, electret condenser microphone with built-in preamp. In addition, the microphone element is mounted in a rigid recessed housing to prevent damage from foreign objects. Unit fits into a single gang electrical box (not included) for flush or surface mounting to ceiling or wall. Flush mounting further enhances vandal resistance. The DV is Omni-directional and produces line level output. The vandal-resistant microphone is designed for correctional, educational and commercial facilities or any area where the potential for vandalism is a concern. It is typically installed in the intake room, interview room and common areas.
